Japan Successfully Attacks The U.S.
At 7:55am yesterday, the Japanese Empire successfully attacked the United States of America (USA) at it's Navy base named Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Over 2,300 Americans were killed, along with 1,178 wounded. 21 American ships were damaged or destroyed, and 323 aircraft were destroyed or damaged. Today, the USA has declared war on Japan. While Emperor Hirohito may be calling this a victory, it truly is any thing but. Japanese troops are now geared toward what is now being called World War 2 instead of attacking China. This worries many people and parents.
Innocent teenagers as young as 17 are being sent away far from home. This makes many parents worries to think that their kids are being sent away to central Europe to fight a war. We interviewed one women who is not having anyone in her immediate family head off to war. "I am very lucky that no one in my family is going off to war. While my family is not fighting on the front lines, my father is working in a factory making tanks and planes." It seems everyone is being affected by this new war. Stay tuned for further updates regarding World War II.
